Corner beads and wall to floor transition
Glad to have found this little forum.. i have a small house i'm completely renovating by myself, i have yet to do any plastering, still in the learning stage.. getting close tho, sections of the house should be ready to start plastering next month!..
A road blocks ive come across (every video i find on youtube related to this is just drywall)
1) corner beads: what corner beads should i use with plaster? it seems there are many different types and i cant seem to find any that are meant for plaster.as i know for plaster the rely on a mechanic/key bond right?, so they need to mesh or expanded metal right?? also do we thinly plaster over the 90 degree angle/point of the bead?? ive seen lots of drywall videos where the point of the bead is left exposed, but I'm assuming/hoping we don't do that with plaster. If anyone has some specific brand of corner bead and where to buy it online i would greatly appreciate it!
2) I'm installing new hardwood floors and i like the clean look of no trim, so what are my options for where the plaster wall meets the floor? do i leave a little gap? run plaster right down to the floor? will some kind of shadow reveal bead work??
Hope those questions made sense
